Around 2–3 million tourists visit Skagen every year. If you are one of them, we can offer you a stay in a modernized Danish farm in the heart of Skagen. Toftegården is centrally located, not far from the beach and only 7–10 minutes walking distance to the railway station, the centre, the pedestrian street, Sankt Laurentii Vej and the harbour. The location is perfect for those who want to be close to city life, where you can shop, eat fish on the cozy harbor quay or enjoy the evening with dancing and music. In the high season, there can be a lot of noise in the city center at night, but at Toftegården you can sleep in calm and peaceful surroundings. If you are looking for cultural experiences, there are also plenty of opportunities in Skagen. Not far from Toftegården you will find e.g. Anchers Hus on Markvej, and you can walk to the Skagens Museum in 10–15 minutes. If you want to be active, you can go to the beach and swim or cycle to Grenen and experience the fantastic nature. Bicycles can be rented at Toftegården. Skagen has everything you could want on a holiday, and according to DMI, the city is right at the top when it comes to the most hours of sunshine in Denmark.

About Toftegården Guesthouse

Toftegården is a typical Danish farm from 1937, centrally located in the city. Today it is privately owned, and we offer year-round rental of holiday apartments and guest rooms with self-service and self-catering. In the winter months, we also offer long-term rentals. Toftegården consists of several buildings with different apartment and room types as well as outbuildings. We have room for 32–35 guests. In addition, we have a meeting and party room, which is suitable for smaller events and gatherings. As a guest at Toftegården, you have the opportunity to enjoy a typical Danish breakfast buffet, rent a bicycle and have access to the farm's fitness and wellness center as well as our farm shop, which is run by an external supplier. Toftegården was built in the 1930s, and at that time there was around 10,000 m² of agricultural land attached to the farm. In the early 1950s, the land was sold to the municipality, after which housing and a school were built on the area. According to tradition, there were horses on the farm right up until the 1980s. We have furnished our holiday apartments and guest rooms in a cozy and homely, classic Skagen style, so that our guests can feel comfortable. Toftegården's farm invites you to both peace and community in beautiful surroundings with bushes, flower beds and a small fountain. There is also an area with sunbeds where you can relax in peace and quiet. There is free wi-fi and parking at both Markvej and Toftegårdens Guesthouse.
